In this lesson, Dan Brulé focuses on “charging the heart” by awakening what he calls heart intelligence through conscious breathing. Dan guides you to place all your attention on the center of your chest and breathe into the space around your heart, not to force the heart open, but to open yourself around the heart so it has room to expand and relax with each breath. He explains that emotions such as love, joy, compassion, and especially gratitude are associated with the heart, and encourages you to generate and breathe the feeling of gratitude—either for specific things or for no reason at all. Dan suggests practicing heart-focused, gratitude-filled breathing for about 10 minutes in the morning, 10 minutes at night, and in short bursts throughout the day, particularly when something touches you deeply. He emphasizes that the heart is a powerful electromagnetic generator and “antenna,” and that regularly breathing into the heart with gratitude can support healing and deepen connection with yourself and others.
