The use of positive affirmations is a very important part of healing and growth, and an important part of Breathwork training and the Breathwork process. Good Breathworkers are good at creating positive affirmations for themselves and their clients. And we encourage our clients to get good at creating affirmations for themselves and others.
Affirmations are meant to neutralize, dissolve, replace, or cancel any negative or limiting thoughts that we have taken on about ourselves, life, others and the world. Affirmations are like seeds that we plant in our consciousness to soothe, strengthen and uplift ourselves—in mind, body and spirit.
Through life, and especially in breathwork, it’s important to remember that we are safe and loved, that we are creative and capable, and that everything we need to live our best life is within us.
Affirmations become much more effective and powerful when we combine them with the practice of Conscious Connected Breathing (The Rebirthing Technique). Breathing affirmations into every cell of our body is an art and a life skill that is well worth mastering.
Here are some affirmations to play with. Begin by getting your breath moving in a conscious connected continuous circular rhythm, then write and repeat the affirmations you know you need to hear. Use this list to create your own affirmations and share them with other practitioners and your clients.
Remember that Conscious Breathing helps us not only to take in the ideas, but also the energy of them deep into our being. So, make sure that you are using your breath consciously when doing affirmations! Conscious Breathing is the secret power that brings the affirmations alive in you.
Start with these and use them to get some ideas to create even better ones for yourself and your clients!
