In this lesson, Dan Brulé focuses on using the breath to create energetic rapport and deepen connection with others and with yourself. Dan teaches you to “breathe in” what you see and hear—like taking in a person’s words or a sunset through your breath—so the information bypasses the mind and goes straight to the heart. He suggests consciously observing and sometimes mirroring another person’s breathing patterns to sense what is happening inside them and to establish intuitive resonance. Dan also encourages using deliberate breaths before and after speaking, and even simple vocalized breaths like “ooh,” “ah,” or “hmm,” as nonverbal expressions that communicate feeling more directly than words. The essence of the practice is to become highly conscious of how you breathe in social situations so you can project calm, authenticity, and presence while also reading others more clearly.
